Imagine, it was a week night chatting over tidbits and dancing till the wee hours. The next morning though is totally different. You wake and suddenly realize that you have only 30minutes to get ready. Bleary eyes open a panic jolt in front of the mirror-the sagging skin, dark circles and limp hair are tell tales of last night. Don’t panic!

We list down essential quick fixes to convert your groggy self into a confident, smart woman.

Drink Honey, drink:  After you wake up, drink lots of water. Half to one liter of water is a must to refresh your dehydrated skin. Next, make yourself a warm cup of honey mixed in warm water and half a lemon’s juice. The drink will give instant energy and refresh you.

Put out the puff: You can reduce the puffiness by putting refrigerated tea bags on your eyes for five minutes. Then, gently press with your fingertips on the mid-brow area and massage preoraculer and post-oracular lymph nodes present in the front and behind of your ears. The massage produces water in the eyes and eases the puffiness. Dr Senegal Siam, dermatologist with Kayak Care Advisory Board, suggests an alternative, “Press a cold cucumber slice to the eyes or do a gentle pressure massage with aloe Vera gel. The massage should start from the outer corner of the eyes and move inwards.”

Wipe off: A good face wash is necessary to rejuvenate your skin. Use a gentle scrub and massage it in circular motion and wash off. Fresh curd mixed with apricot granules is a great alternative. After the scrub, apply tomato or papaya pulp for ten minutes.

Get Cold: Rush under a spray of icy-cold water. The jolt will be enough to wake up your skin and freshen up your body! And don’t forget to wash your hair. After the bath, apply a relaxing fragrance to soothe your frayed nerves- lemon or lavender work perfectly.

Hide Me: Conceal dark circles (if any) with a concealer. Then use a light cover of luminescent foundation, which will give your face a glow, something your dull (and party weary) skin requires. Liven up your peepers further by a hint of a color. Shades of aqua, turquoise or jade really suit the Indian skin. Apply just a touch of a white eye-shadow at the inner corner eyes. It will open up your eyes and make them appear larger.

Zink your Mane: Use a shine serum or a leave- in conditioner to rejuvenate your tresses. If excessively limp, give your hair that extra bounce by applying egg-sized mousse into damp hair followed by a quick blow-dry. Tie back with a stylish hair pin or scrunch.

Face the world! : Now I think with these quick suggestions you can able to face the world with confidence. But, at last, when you go outside, apply a coat of medicated calamine lotion. It has zinc oxide which acts as a sunscreen, glycerin which moisturizes and sodium betonies, which helps to clean the skin. Now read these carefully and relax.
