Want to give your album a makeover?: The traditional look or the same look of photo albums is quit boring, to say the least. Photographs after all, are a record of your life’s most treasured memories and encasing them in routine boring pattern is not appealing. So here are some ideas to give your album a new look:
What you need?

1* for an old album, some good quality handmade textured paper, available at most stationary shops. There are different grades, ranging in price from rupees 8 to rupees 500 per sheet. It depends on which texture you want and how much money you want to spend in the whole episode of makeover of your album.

2* you need glue, like feviquik or fevicol, and wonder tape, which should be sticky on both sides.

3* you also need embellishments according to your choice like sequins, beads, lace, satin, plain jute string or colored paper. And if you are more creative and good at craft work, you may also use small M-seal figures. These can be purchased at stores dealing in borders and trimmings. Or you can even recycle them from fancy wedding cards, gift wrapping etc.

4* you also need butter paper, gateway sheets or picture corners to make it look more beautiful.

5*you also need some thin sponge, available at stationary and hardware shops.

What is the process?

1* Take some thin sponge (the thinner the better) and cover the album (optional in case of paper, mandatory if you are using silk or any other fabric for the cover).
2* Wrap some handmade paper tightly around the cover; stick with adhesive to the sponge.
3* you can then stick on sequins, beads, antique work embroidery or any other embellishments of your choice with wonder tape. For M-seal ornaments, wait for a day for them enamel paint them. To create a pop-up kind of effect, stick the wonder tape twice on some of them.
4* Insert butter paper or gateway sheets (they also come in nice hues) and use chart paper for sticking pictures.
