With so many different programs, films and games available for the PSP it would cost an absolute fortune to buy every movie or game that you want. That is probably why the topic on downloading movies to PSP is so big online. Today I am going to tell you what you need to know before looking into downloading movies to your PSP.

The first problem you will run into when thinking of  downloading movies to your PSP is that the PSP has to have the movies in MP4 format to be able to play them. A lot of the movies online are in WMV,AVI or DIVX formats.  You can get around this problem by finding yourself a good PSP Video converter which is just a tool that helps you convert normal movie files so they will play on the PSP.

Due to the size of the PSP's screen you will need to make adjustments on the converter so it looks right when playing it. I suggest you make the resolution 320x240 as this will give you the best results.  Also when converting movies you must make sure you get the audio right as well and this should be set at 24Khz and have a high bit rate for the best results.

After you convert the movies for PSP, just copy these files to your PSP in the Video folder to get them in the videos list on the PSP. I hope these few tips have helped you downloading movies to your PSP and given you a few things to consider before you do.
