Smokey eyes: The key to getting this look right is to blend and blend some more. Use a shadow base of grey and charcoals with a dab of highlight just below the brow line. Apply eyeliner in liquid or pencil, again in grey or black, just above the upper lash line; the line should be thicker towards the center of the eyelid. Apply the eye shadow, blending it with a liner; add a touch of highlighter from the center to the brow line. Don’t forget the mascara. It is one element that can complete your look instantly.

French manicure: Care of the hands and feet is essential for that complete look. There’s is nothing tackier than chipped nail polish. This is where the French manicure steps in. It’s look that you carry right out of the boardroom and on to the beach. It’s natural, casual yet paradoxically dressy and stylish. The classic look is a white tip on a pearlescent pink nail base. The latest trend is to keep the nails square.

Red lipstick: It is universal head turner, an immediate elevator to the ranks of ‘diva’. Pair it with pale skin; no blush or heavily made up eyes unless you want to take a walk down. Define your lips with a liner before you fill in the color; it goes without saying that the lipstick should match the liner. You should use a brush it fills in the lipstick to get the perfect deep red pout. Pick the right red for your complexion. If you are fair with a tinge of pink in your skin, you could go for pure red with blue undertones. Thinner lips look fuller with brighter shades of red. Fuller lips can be toned down by using brown reds.

Be natural: While this one look effortless, it isn’t actually so. It takes a fair amount of work to get a look that’s fresh and flawless. A glowing skin, sun kissed look can come from mixing highlight powder with a little baby oil. I also recommend bronze highlights for a tanned look. Nowadays translucent skin, soft, shiny lips and a pale, shimmering bronzed is the look of the day. It’s not over the top, not unkempt, just refreshingly natural. Applying light shimmer on your eyelids and use or soft pink gloss, a lip gloss, as does keeping your lips natural with a peach or soft pink gloss.
No matter what your choice is, you simply can’t go wrong with these looks. The classics are, after all, always in style.
