One Stop Markets Rated by 1 users
With convenience becoming the buzzword in today’s busy world where people have no time to waste, the traditional market for goods seems to be losing its charm for people, not only in metros but also in small cities. The era of supermarkets seems to be well on its way in the country. Indeed, convenience seems to be the buzzword for something as mundane but necessary chores like grocery shopping for people on the move. Even in metros with predominantly middle class mentality, the traditional bazaars' and haats seem to be losing out.
Even after a hectic day in the office, shopping experience has become pleasant and an enjoyable chore-thanks to the air conditioned departmental stores around. Today, people not only look for things they have to shop for but they will go to the place only if they have a complete experience of comfort with a value for their money. One gets bored and tired scrolling from one place to another looking for different required things. In these supermarkets, it is a pleasure to browse through so many varieties and pick what suits your family best. For working people, however, it is the convenience that entices them to the super market. After such strenuous working hours, going to traditional markets can be very tedious with so much of heat and the stench; so the comfort of air conditioned malls where you get everything under one roof is much better option.
Over the years, the clientele of the traditional markets has been decreasing. It can be rightly claimed that the shopping experience of the people in metros underwent a paradigm shift from late in the 90s, when shopping malls and air conditioned departmental stores giving a consumer not only convenience but also touch-feel experience made them a popular order of the day. What is interesting is that as per studies over 60 per cent customers in these shops are homemakers. The direct shopping experience that enables them to select not only farm fresh products for family but also ingredients for international dishes like pasta and pizza that help them to ensure fine dining at the convenience of her home, has helped supermarkets to establish a firm footing in the grocery retail industry. The popularity of these markets continues to rise and the sales register has been recording a steady growth rate since their inception. Of course, the popularity of the food marts is on the rise! People come here mainly because they get everything under one roof. Moreover, the ambience is good and the product quality is also good. People also get it at a reasonable price. With the competition buzzing up; the obvious beneficiary is the customer. The future promises to be with better array of products and cheaper prices.
At the end of the day, all of us look for quality and convenience. These one stop markets are offering us just that. Therefore, it's not surprising that they have got their share of popularity.
