In today’s fast moving world, we want quick results, be it business or healing. And sometimes moving at such speedy pace can have long term side effects. If high fever is gone in one dose of allopathic medicine, it implies that definitely it had some strong content which suppressed the fever. But suppressing is not actually the solution, it is still in the body and it will be aggravated elsewhere. Sometimes allopathic medicine also has some kind of reactions to the body. Reasons could be many but one thing which is catching popularity is alternative medicine and one of the most common and effective one is homeopathy.
WHAT IS IT?
The word homeopathy is derived from the Greek stands for a self contained system of therapy which gently supports the natural, self generative healing endeavors of organism.
Homoeopathy is based on experimental, pharmacological and clinical data. Over the period, lot of research has been done in this field.
THE BEGINING
Dr CFS Hahnemann is the founder of Homoeopathy. He was born in a small village in Germany in 1755.Dr Hahnemann was a qualified allopathic physician. Actually the term allopathy was joined by Dr Hahnemann whom the allopath regards as the founder of the experimental pharmacology. Dr Hahnemann was not satisfied with the painful healing procedures which were offered to the patient at time. So he quit practicing and started translating medical books in different languages.
Dr Hahnemann was astonished to know that Cinchona bark is used to cure malarial fever which itself is capable of producing similar symptoms like malaria if taken in crude form. Then why not the other medicinal substance used like this. So he started experimenting on his own body with much different medicinal substance. He got wonderful results. So he came to conclusion that drug substances which are capable of producing some kind of disease symptoms can be used to cure them if taken in potentate form or dynamited form. Homoeopathy originated in Germany but flourished in America.
HOMEOPATHY-ROLE IN MEDICATION
There is no single drug, no single course of treatments, no single school of medicine that can cure all of the diseases and ailments that human beings are prey to. Many can be treated safely and effectively with homoeopathy. Some require the synthetic drugs of allopath or surgery. Still others do not respond to any treatment known today. Since many synthetic drugs can have unpleasant and dangerous side effects, a good guideline to remember is:
Homoeopathy as the general rule; allopath as a last resort.
Selecting the Most Effective Remedy needs physician's advice.
There are two elements that the physician takes into account when selecting a remedy:
1. The clinical picture of the patient. This is a comprehensive outline of the patient's symptoms as recorded during the homoeopathic examination.
2. The drug picture of the remedy. This is a comprehensive review of the symptoms that a specific medicine produces when given in target doses to healthy individuals.
