1. SAMSUNG YP-K3 (2 GB MP3 PLAYER)

This latest Samsung YP-K3 is a 2GB player (there is a 4GB models as well which is not yet available here) boasting a 1.8inch LCD and an enviable impressive 20-hour battery life. Compatible with MP3, WMA and JPEG files, there's also an FM radio squeezed inside.
The smart styling is matched by the touch screen controls and cool menu system, while the bundled software is decent enough.
The FM radio's auto-tune function delivers clear, stable reception, while digital music simply sounded great.
This is genuine alternate to ipod nano and at such reasonable price (Rs. 9000) it not only offers plenty to soothe your ears with great music but also is a pleasure to eyes for its stylish looks.

My rating is 4.5/5

2. MITASHI MPL2001 (MP4 PLAYER)
The new MPL2001 2GB MP4 player, for example, comes with a whole lot of features into its diminutive frame at a penny cost of its competitors. Look at its spec sheet, and you will find an FM tuner, radio and voice recorder, video file replay, mini SD slot, flash games, photo playback, built-in speakers, a decent eight hours of music and about five hours of video from its battery. It is just a bundle of things at just Rs 4990 only as compared to similarly specified SamsungT9Qcosts Rs 12,500, the Creative ZenVPlusRs 8990 and the nano, Rs 9800. In usage it is fairly simple. Though the user interface display is clear and detailed, navigating through it can really be one tedious activity. The keys are small and fiddly, and the menu is not very user friendly.
Load up the MPL2001, and you are confronted by tinny sound. You can blame the supplied ear buds for this. MPL2001 uncovers and delivers a fair amount of detail. This is wholly acceptable for its price.
The Mitashi's 2.2in screen, though bigger than the one offered by Samsung on theT9Q, is only useful for music videos and shot movie clips. As a music player with occasional video use, this Mitashi unit is fine. It is a good alternative to its more pricey rivals.

Very good for its value for money for people who are not brand cautious. Loaded features but user interface and sound quality need improvement.

My Rating 3.5/5

3. PHILIPS WACS7000 (WIRELESS MUSIC SYSTEM)
18 months ago, Philips came up with Philips' wireless music system, the WACS700. Now with its upgraded version, priced at Rs. 58100, the WACS7000: the sleek, black gloss finish looks as smart and as fresh as it did first time around.
Unlike many 'wireless' speaker packages, this is truly wire-free kit. The two units communicate with each other and your PC via 802.11g standard. Simply plug in the main control Center unit and the smaller Station receiver, and the two instantly communicate. Both units boast 40W of digital amplification feeding NXT Sound is pumped from the Center unit alone or, more excitingly, through to the Station -indeed up to five Stations - sat within a 100m radius of the hub.
The Center unit 'hub' has an 80GR hard disk - twice the size a CD player. A USB port is there for connecting a stick-style MP3 player, along with an FM radio. If you have a network, you can stream tunes from your computer, too.
It is easy to set up and subsequently navigate (two remotes, one with a screen, are included). The new LCD screen comes with extra search functionality, and the new ability to rip CDs in anything up to 32okbps is a definite plus.

This certainly is great idol for multiform wireless sound. The only thing disappointing is that it needs more improvement with sound part.

My Rating is 4/5
