Romance is the life of any couples’ relationship. It is those sweet little things for each other which keep the freshness. The weekend getaways or the long awaited vacation with your loved one can entice things in a big way. While choosing a getaway place the motive is very important and if you are looking for a romantic getaway be extra cautious because a romantic place is one that stirs the imagination, makes you feel little more alive. A romantic place is not found by consensus. When we mine our travel memories, we realize that the places we found most romantic were very individual. They depended on our mood, our age and of course, the person we were with. Few options are some places where the moon shines differently.

Venice: Venice makes you feel strangely vulnerable, especially if you've inhaled a lot of Shakespeare in college. The tiny canals and alleys make you sense dangerous, romantic possibilities. You find yourself looking up at balconies lest a Juliet be draped over one. And the fact that Italian men are the most desirable in the world must have something to do with the romance of this city. Serenading gondoliers, Juliet’s on balconies, Shakespeare in the air, Venice can make even hardened cynics feel romantic.

Bali: Not a regular beach resort. But Bali is different. The beaches are pure gold, the people are gentle and friendly and you’ll never forget the stars in the sky. Also, the charming hill town Ubud which lies an hour away Bali makes a very special two-in-one (beach & mountains) treat. Bali will be remembered for long: sitting in a bar perched on top of the hotel, the moon shining above, the ocean rolling away hundreds of feet below, a violinist playing softly and the world suddenly feel like a very small, very beautiful place.

Carmel: Carmel lays an hour's drive south of San Francisco. You can wander joyously down cobble stoned streets. Spend the evening drinking champagne in a fireside bar and stay at a quaint hotel called the Honeymoon Inn. It is cold and very beautiful and you will remember Carmel with pleasure.

Kyoto: It is the restless mix of old and new, of ancient Japan and the high-tech new one. A place of secrets, of geisha houses and closed doors. Something primal, something elegant. Something unresolved, hard to understand. Completely fascinating.  Kyoto has mystery, like an unheard melody.

Cambridge: The first thing that will strike about Cambridge is simply different shades of green. It rain so much in the place that Cambridge is forever with the green washed feeling. Weeping willows on the banks, the great old colleges of Cambridge draped in a peculiar Merchant-Ivory kind of mist. Go under the bridge and make a wish, it feels very romantic.
