The western classic look: She wears co-ordinates. She’s the one with the classic watch, perfectly manicured hands, matching jacket, shoes and bag. She always looks like she has just stepped out of salon. It wouldn’t be beyond her to wear stockings in summer. The lady is totally in control. She is material girl and she knows it. She has her priorities set and nothing is going to change them. She’s ambitious and always on the ball of things. Once she has decided what she wants out of life, she systematically sets out to achieve it. And that is why she makes such a good career woman. She has opinion about everything, which she is quite vocal about. This woman may look immaculate at all times, but she is not at all fitness conscious and quite contently keeps growing under the jacket. The look must be accompanied by the practice ease of knowing how to get what she wants.

The classic Indian woman: She looks perfect, all neat and tidy in her pastel chamois satin sari, accessorized with a classic watch and string of pearls or even her mangla sutra which she wears with a an enormous sense of pride. She either wears gold or glass bangles in the exact shade what she is wearing. Her wardrobe boasts an array of traditional Indian saris. She has come the full circle and knows her mind. There is certain maturity about her. She is completely in touch with what she is, but does not go out of way to flaunt it. She is proud to be an Indian and wears the sari with dignity. She is not an early adaptor with changing trends, but the season’s fashion offers her choices and chooses from them keeping in mind that she is, a restrained, calm person. Emotionally, she’s always knows where she’s at. The chances of this woman going for the wrong man are null. In her man, she looks for intellectual stimulation, rather than good looks or a family inheritance. She may seem predictable to you.

The sporty look: Her wardrobe is like being in uniform in track pants and t-shirts. She wears her sneakers all day long and loafers at night. She will wear her jerseys and jackets with hoods and her work out clothes will be in the back seat of the car. She is basically fun person around. She couldn’t be bothered with formalities. Also she hides behind or made an escape, to avoid the responsibility that comes with society. Everything in her life is a joke and she will be the practical joker of the group. She hides her sensitivity behind an unceasing flow of sarcastic jibes or witty one-liners, and would die before she lets anybody see her being nice. She must assume responsibility for what she does, and move away from the attitude that everything in life is fun and games. But also, she needs to be told that it’s called sportswear because it is to be worn for a sport.

The club looks: She wears her extremely low waisted jeans or tiny Lycra skirts in bright fluorescent colors. She wears the same colors, fabrics and patterns as she saw on the MTV channel. She is the early adapter. And what she searches for is a superficial kind of acceptability. Even her clothes are donned for the western-ness of it all. This woman often lacks leadership qualities and will blindly follow trends. She tends to give up on things without much deliberation and doesn’t get over attached to objects, people or places in her life. The good thing about her is that she will also move on leaving behind all the waste from the past. This look can be very hip. If done in small doses with the right accessories, the look is only first step for a night on the town.
