Yosemite National Park: The whole environment enhances the romance of the place. You feel like you're in thick forest, you sing songs around a campfire and then head to your log cabin tucked far away under giant pine trees. Light up a fire in your room and use your imagination and let romance light up the air.
Acapulco: This place makes you feel wild and passionate, part of an international jet set. And the Las Brisas is surely the most romantic hotel in the world. Each room is cut into a hillside and onto a private pool. Open your bedroom land slip into the water, a la mode if you wish. Float dreamily amid the flowers. Way below, you can hear the mariachi bands playing and the city partying madly.
Goa: It's impossible not to find Goa romantic no matter many times you've been there. Perhaps it's the people or the music, but Goan evenings have a flavour and a fragrance all their own. Walking barefoot on the beach; watching the ocean while the sun sets, going to a riverside cafe, lanterns throwing shadows and a guitarist playing a song just for you.
Lugano: Part of the charm of this Swiss-Italian town is the train journey to it. Go on the Glacier Express which takes you over many breathtaking passes in the Swiss Alps before it drops you off at Lugano. Lugano has a lovely lake ringed by tiny mountains and cottages that look like that you are tumbling into water. You can smell Italy close by and you already know how you feel about Italian things.
Paris: Despite the overdressing it has with clichés, there is something about Paris, about the boat ride down the Seine, about springtime here, about sitting in a street side cafe remembering all the romantic french novels you ever read. The Eiffel Tower, the night life, the calmness taking the walk down Latin Quarter, The Versailles gardens, the whole of Paris are city of romance.
Khajuraho: It has a sleepy, small-town feeling till you hit the erotic temples where every god had his day. Khajuraho is a very romantic place and you will spot many honey mooning couples.
Kashmir: They say you save the best for the last. The most romantic place on earth is Kashmir. The russet shades of autumn, the fresh greens of summer, Pahalgam and Gulmarg and trekking through the Kishtwar valley. An enchanted evening in Srinagar, is perhaps the most perfectly distilled romantic memory of life. Lying back in a shikara on the Dal Lake, the soft paddle of the oars, a balmy October breeze, the sound of a flute and a crescent moon hanging perfectly in the sky makes Kashmir totally irresistible romantic place.
