Natural ingredients not only provide cures for aliments but they also prevent them. Very many of these are used by us in our day to day life and when they act, they do so without harming the body. It is an acknowledged fact that natural ingredients have properties that can benefit us immensely that is why there are so many companies which manufacture products keeping the goodness of natural ingredients.

In recent times, clove and babool are two ingredients which have been widely accepted as extremely beneficial to health. Clove is the oldest ingredient used in dental hygiene products like toothpaste and mouth wash. It has been found to possess very effective anti-microbial properties which improve dental health. And also prolonged use of clove oil toothpaste controls the rise of bacteria, responsible for caries in young adults and is also found in controlling bad breathe.

The health care benefits of babool are now widely recognized and accepted. In rural India, even today, people routinely chew on a babool stick in the morning to clean their teeth. However, a new study shows that babool offers the best protection for teeth because tannin found in the plant, fights bacteria and acts as an anti-plaque agent. 

Natural ingredients not only provide cures for ailments, but also prevent them. There are various medicines one can take to strengthen body immunity and fight infections. Very many of these are use in our day to day life without being aware of their medical value. They might not work as anti-biotic pills but when they do, they do not provide any harm side effects to our body.

Did you know that the Indian hemp or cannabis, from which bhang is made, has medicinal properties, apart from being a stimulant, exhilarant and aphrodisiac? Hemp is used for the lessening of migraine headaches and stomach spasms. Today it is also valued for its beneficial effect on neuralgia.
A recognized analgesic, hemp is an anti-spasmodic and pain soother. It is also known to promote digestion and assist in the flow of urine.

Jamuns are also, when dried, crushed, used to treat diabetes. The juice of the jamun is excellent liver stimulant, while a decoction made from the bark of the tree is used to treat mouth ulcers and for strengthening gums.

The pepper we used in our food is also an interesting story. It is not only the most important spice but also used as a medicine. Black pepper is harmless to the stomach and is used to alleviate colds, coughs and bronchial complaints.

Coriander, an ingredient used in every Indian home in day to day coking is also has immense medicinal value. The plant is effective to increase the flow of urine and as a refrigerant to break increasing fever.

Natural ingredients do not work in isolation. If an ingredient has a cosmetic property, it also has a medical benefits and vice-versa. Pundits opine that many modern-day illnesses like cancer and AIDS may eventually find their cures in these simple natural products.

True, wealth lies in nurturing, studying and conserving natural wealth. The sooner we realize this, the better our chances of leaving behind a truly healthy planet for the coming generations. This is the true wealth our children will inherit from us, a healthy and productive environment, free of diseases.
