Children bashes can be fun to host and attend. But they can also be quite exhausting as well as expensive. Still, planning and preparation are surefire yardsticks to a successful party.

How to start this? Since it’s your kid’s party, it’s best to let ideas revolve around what she likes the most. A good party theme unifies the party and provides the framework from which the rest of the planning process flows. For instance, if your child is bundle of energy, an outdoor party with lots of games would be good, and if your child is quite by nature, then a party theme should be revolve around such activities like drawing,. Coloring or story telling etc.

Decide on a theme that fits in with your child’s age, personality, favorite toys or books and the lo0cation of the party. And while making your budget for the party, consider what you can afford. Budget management comes about when you plan ahead and leave nothing to frantic, last minute shopping.
Let’s get started then:

• Invitations: A creative way to deliver the invitation would be to put it in a nice, inexpensive teacup or attach it to a strand of dress up beads. You could also draw the theme character or write a slogan detailing on theme.

• Decorations: If you’re working on a character theme, have decorative pieces of the character dominating the theme. Decorate with lots of candles, balloons and flowers. If you are planning a jungle party then put up posters of animals and let the kids wear masks of tigers, elephants, monkeys, lions and gorillas.

• Venue: The venue is very important, so pick the right place. Kiddy parties can be held at home, or in the backyard, at fast food restaurants and other exciting venues. But the most popular among kids is garden parties, because they allow the kids to play lot of games, they allow the maximum fun.

• Fun foods: Kids thrive on cheese cubes, pizza, popcorn, cake or cup cakes decorated with character figures and ice-cream. Also making the birthday cake yourself goes a long way to help defray party expenses. And yes, serve flavored milk or fruit juice with cake and ice cream.

• Games: For kids, try a shoe box decorated to become a treasurer chest and a treasure map. Children have good time search for treasure. And for older kids, you could rent a movie which one is popular among kids.

• Party favors: These are a big expense that you nee to take realistically into account. Rings, hats, masks and small toys always bring smile to little faces. You could also think of giving each child a loot bag in which to gather trinkets, a let a windfall of toys erupt from a hanging balloon.

There are too many other ways you can add or change to this with your creative mind, but make sure the party would be according to your kids’ taste, where he or she can enjoy the most.
