Women have made their identity from the housewives to the career women. They no longer depend on men for every thing they need, they have found their own way to be content. Women have definitely changed from the sixties to what women are today.

THE GIRLFRIEND
IN 60’S
She was a shy face who blushed when her boyfriend talked of the moon and the stars. Her eyes were lowered and she was the one who knitted dreams to marry her boyfriend which was the only goal of her life and they lived happily ever after.
TODAY
She is the sexy lady. She knows her lipstick well and make sure it does not get spoiled every time she kiss. She is smart and knows to keep her physical desires satisfied without getting into serious stuff. She will marry only she wants too.

THE WIFE
IN 60’S
She was the devoted wife then. Whatever she did, she did for her husband. She did everything to make his husbands life as comfortable as she could. And in return her husband indulged her and, if she was lucky, opened a joint bank account with her. It was an arrangement hat made both of them happy

TODAY
She has her own identity. Her own job and bank balance. She has to work hard at both at office and home. Sometimes, she has to neglect the latter for the former. Her husband helps out at home with the dinner and with the kids. She is not only getting equal rights at work but also equal rights at home.

THE MOTHER
IN 60’S
She was the sacrificing mother who lived only for her children. She woke up early to make favorite dishes in tiffin for her children. She saved on her housekeeping budget so that she could give them more pocket money, in return, she expected that her children would realize her ambitions and they would look after her when it was their turn.
 
TODAY
She is the super mom. She is not too much worried. She is cooking for her children if not always the favorite dishes she makes sure she does that once in a while. She have back up plan if she is getting late like calling kids at home and telling them to order from outside. She takes them out, she plays with them and she also finishes her deadline work. She is definitely the super mom.

MOTHER IN LAW
IN 60’S
She was the villain. She could pot a speck of dust at 20 paces. The keys of the house lied in her hand. Her word was the ultimate in the house and daughter in laws definitely had hard time dealing with them.

TODAY
She is the helping hand. She still holds the keys to the house because son and daughter-in-law are busy with their careers and she is looking after the children and she is happy doing so.
