The whole world is getting destroyed by the means of rising green house effect or the global warming. The falling of the trees all over the world is shamelessly putting mother earth in danger. Recently it has been discovered that Bay of Bengal can be the key to tackling global warming. The problem of carbon concentration in the atmosphere, through the accumulation of carbon dioxide, methane and other gases, can be solved in a unique manner within the Bay of Bengal ecosystem.

From the Himalayas down to the Bay, the major rivers like The Ganga and The Brahmaputra carry large amounts of carbon deposits, in the form of soil, vegetable and other waste washed from the hills, slopes and banks. Much of this sinks in the ocean itself which leads to loads of carbon being deposited on the ocean floor and moved sluggishly by deep currents. There is a rich deposit of carbon on the ocean bottom, and there is apparently no way for the carbon to escape into the atmosphere in gaseous form.

An estimated 70% of the carbon trapped in sold wastes, etc, gets released into the air, adding to global warming, producing greenhouse effects.  There are also huge loads of dead planktons that end up on the sea floor. The sinking process helps trap the carbon in place and environmentally, it lowers the temperature, directly offsetting the effects of warming.

Recent discovery of an exceptionally hardy type of bacteria in New Zealand encourages hopes for the control of methane gas releases into the air. However, how far such encouraging lifelines in nature can help combat the deadly effects of global warming is yet to be confirmed. The nations together have to take a step in curbing the effects of global warming. We ourselves should make some efforts like planting trees and saying no to plastic bags. Use of bio degradable products is also useful in the regard. Saving lives of endangered species helps the balance in the ecosystem and this need should be well looked. Save the earth if you want to save yourself.

Hazards of gaseous emissions have little solution;
The rising green house effect;
I wonder in worry what is going to happen next.

Will the whole world be destroyed?
Is it a thing we can not avoid?
In my vision, take this decision
Check the increasing population
Stop the falling of trees…
And the foul smell of distilleries.

What are the nations doing?
Down the mother earth is going.
Who are the criminals?
Why are we committing this crime?
Shamelessly seeing the Mother Earth dying.

The screeching brakes
Makes me wonder which path this will take…
The monster of pollution laughs and nature cries
Threatening our planet with jaws open wide…
If not for ourselves, for our children’s sake
Let us join hands and together make
OUR EARTH ONCE AGAIN A GREEN AND LOVELY PLACE.
