Being the party animal you are, you’re sure to be burning up the dance floor this party season. And we know exactly how you feel when your make up threatens to drip away thanks to the all your booty shaking on the dance floor, not to mention the people around you also working up a sweat. That is why we got our experts to give us a few tips to keep your make up in place.

• It’s best if you can manage with just a little consealer and skip the foundation altogether. But that depends on the quality of the skin and the coverage a woman requires. Those with blemishes or freckles may require a thicker base of make up. In that case there are too many products in the market to try that give you the finishing look, or you can also rub an ice or splash cold water all over your face before applying the base. This ensures that the pores close, minimizing the amount you sweat, and keeps your make up from smudging. Depending on the type of foundation you are using, oil free, or with oil or the water based. You can also rub ice on after applying your foundation

• After you apply your make up, use a make up fixing spray for a lasting look. The Mac or kryolan make up fixing sprays work well. Hold it at arm’s length and spray to make sure make up stays put through the night.

• For damage control while you are at the party, make sure you carry with your compact, oil free blotting papers or face powder papers. Take a break from your dancing and gently dab these on your face to absorb the excess oil. When you party, your eye makeup stays put; it’s the cheeks, lips and foundation that get distressed. So our experts suggest us for having a kajal, lip-gloss, compact and blush with you handy at these times, so that you can do the touch up.

• If you are planning to party all night, carry your make up wipes and redo your make up so you look fresh throughout. It will only take a few minutes away from the party. Let the eye make up stay intact and just retouch your foundation and blush. Swipe on your lipstick and you’ll be ready to burn up the dance floor once more.

I think these simple make up tricks will ensure that your make up doesn’t slide off while you shimmy on the dance floor.
