All children are born with their own capabilities and limitations. All are gifted with something unique. But it is only with few of the parents who actually explore their children capabilities. There are winners and there are losers but winners and losers are not born like that. Have you come across people who are good at almost everything they do while some lose in everything they try. Help your children succeed with the following secret ingredients.

1. SLEEP: Find out how much time your children need and let them sleep for that much time. If they need eight hours let them have eight hours. Making them having less of sleep will hamper their concentration in studies or other activities as less sleep will make them feel tired.

2. FOOD: Get your children eat a healthy balanced diet and make them drinks plenty of water. Children binging on food all the times would feel heavy and lethargic. Never make them in a habit of eating while studying. Make sure they have proper meals and don’t munch in between. It will help them developing a healthy eating lifestyle.

3. CLIMATE: Maintain a comfortable temperature in the home. Don’t expose your children to air conditioning or central heating most of the times as it will weaken their body and they will have difficulty adjusting to the climate. If they feel comfortable they will be in a better position to perform at their best.  Remember one thing that winners stay focused no matter how is the weather, hot or cold.

4. GET RID OF THE DISTRACTIONS: The electronic age has brought us with so many distractions like computers, TV, walkman, cell phones etc. Make sure you get rid of all the distractions in your child’s room while he/she is studying or involved with a particular activity. Even while they are playing outdoor games, let them play undistracted and they will concentrate and win.

5. TAKE BREAKS: Make sure that your child takes short breaks in between a long stretch activity like study for an hour or two. In the break they can stretch their muscles for better circulation and relaxation, take a drink of water or juice, and freshen up. These short breaks are not meant to distract mind but to refresh the mind and the body.

6. PLACE OF STUDY AREA: Arrange the study table in a manner that it does not faces the window or an open door as the children can’t concentrate looking out of the window. It is very important that children study at one place and not roam around places with their books.

7. MENTAL PARTITION: All the parents can’t provide private rooms to their children. Teach them how to build a mental partition between them and others with whom they share the space so that they can be involved with their own activity and not get distracted.
