Every now and then we hear news that terrorists are giving warnings of bomb blasts in different parts of the country. With so much of terrorism gripping all over the world, sometimes it really sends shivers to the body on thinking how safe is our life? Any bullet from the gun of a person involved in riots can take our lives especially in military affected places like Assam, J& K etc. In the late 1980s and early 1990s we have witnessed disturbance in regard of communism all over the country and a part of it still continues. This disturbing reality continues to account for a less carefree environment.

Though security forces are taking care of the terrorists but that does not leave common citizens to ignore the problem. If the common man stay united, we would play a great role in curbing the problem and would be of big help for the security forces uniformed men. Every now and then we hear of money theft from the ATM machines. If even the safes are not safe how can we claim to be safe in our homes and offices?

The world itself is at risk today. One would not like to compare juvenile delinquents with the terrorists. At the same time it is difficult to overlook the common strand between the two that both of them indiscriminately open fire. There are more alarm bells ringing with incidents of school children killing people in the US. According to a survey as many as 40 new infectious diseases have emerged in developing countries during the last few decades. No doubt life expectancy has more than doubled during the last 100 years but deadly diseases like AIDS have also emerged.

Road accidents are increasing day by day. Global warning is causing trouble for the human specie. We are wasting time and energy in traffic jams. We are ignoring the extent of noise pollution emanating from screaming vehicles and their impact on our health.

We are also depleting natural bounties, slowly vanishing forest cover, shrinking water bodies and erosion of vast pastures. It is definitely creating problems in the environment and is the main reasons for natural calamities which take so many lives. We ourselves are responsible for whatever condition world is in today. We are unsafe not only because of bullets, improvised explosive devices and other weapons. There are also other foes that are bit by bit taking our toll. A difference is that we don’t seem to counter them as efficiency as we ought to. It is our moral duty to take care of the factors which are in hand like controlling pollution, creating employment so that youth is not forced to terrorism etc and stand united against the forces which are going against the human force.
