Taking your worry out, not only to get it off your chest, but to someone who knows more than you, who may be of some help to you.  There are people who ruined their lives because of things that could easily have been straightened out had they only talked to someone who understood their particular worries or problems. But that does not mean to take advice, of course, from people who know only as much as, or less than, you do about a certain problem.

Are you the kind of person who drags through life always worrying about things like: Did I set the alarm clock? Did I put out the lights? Did I turn off the oven? Did I unplug the iron? Did I put out the garbage? Did I lock the door?
Of course, the best way to help you to avoid these minor worries is to tell you to learn to remember. Learn to remember to do these things, and you won’t have to worry about them. Absentmindedness is really a memory problem. Get into the habit of doing things in their proper order and proper time, and you won’t have to worry about them.

If you forget to lock your door, and house is burgled, then you will never leave it open again. If you are wrong once or twice, you will know better or do better next time. Again, what is the worst that could happen? If the worst, in your opinion, is really bad, then take the time to check on the thing you are worried about. If you have been worrying about whether you put the lights out, in your home or car then, the worst is that you will need a battery charge for the car. It is up to you to decide whether that is worth worrying about.

Many of us worry about getting old. How do you know that old age is not the finest and most rewarding part of life? In this case, it would be wise to look forward to the inevitable. Work out a retirement or pension fund; get interested in hobbies, in which you can participate when you are older, if you like. But, for heaven’s sake, don’t worry about it. Growing old is not so much of a problem as the fear of being old. Start each day with the thought in mind that you will live forever and start a major alteration on your house at the age of seventy and at seventy-five enters upon a whole new course of study or learn a new language. Make sure to just keep going as though it will never end. And when it does come, you will hardly notice it.

What else are you worried for? Are you worried about sickness? Go to your doctor and let him worry about It.!
Worried about going insane? Good! People who worry about going crazy rarely do not worry too much about anything.
