The burst of diet pills back in the market back 30 or 40 years ago made the world believe in radical solution to weight loss. So naturally doctors can only have the right to prescribe such weight loss products. These medicines are monitored and recommended for use once the doctor has given a clean chit. This means that a person's blood pressure, heart condition etc. are thoroughly checked and once found healthy can one go for such drugs. The dosage of diet pills is also monitored by medics and in case of severity they are immediately stopped. Hence the drugs are meant for short term usage only. The side effects of the weight loss pills could be as harmful as:
Stomach cramps
Blurred vision
Anxiety
Allergic reaction
Dizziness
Tiredness
Could be severe like having heart pain or elevated blood pressure etc.

However, with the right kind of doctor's advice and discipline along with exercise and diet control one can lose up to 10% to 15% of the body weight and side effects could turn to history.

What are the other alternatives that can be considered for weight loss besides diet pills?
The best way to keep fat away is lifestyle modification, regular exercise and diet control. More of green vegetables, fresh fruits which contain more fiber and avoidance of fatty and oily food can keep one healthy and slim.

Care should be taken to check the passive lifestyle where minimal physical activity is taken. For example you can park your car a few blocks apart from your regular nearby parking slot. This will give you a chance to take a walk which has been missing from your life. Or you could decide not to touch the remote buttons and operate the switch manually. Try finding out innovative solutions where you can sweat it out a little bit!

There are some natural cures available like taking warm lemon water along with honey in empty stomach early in the morning or some natural ayurvedic or herbal cures to melt the cellulite away.
