Disproportionate fat deposits on the outer as well as inner thighs are difficult to lose through exercising or even after dieting. Cellulite in the connective tissues can spill over and the skin on the leg can look like ripples. To correct the imbalance, thigh liposuction is a very good option. If all that is needed is to get excess fat off the body, liposuction alone will be enough. On the other hand, if the idea is to achieve a sculpted appearance, combine exercising along with thigh liposuction. A thigh must ideally be convex at the upper end, tapering downwards and ending by bowing out in the direction of knees.

Thigh liposuction helps to emphasize the femininity in a quick and vigorous manner. For thigh liposuction procedure to go smoothly, the patient’s health must be in good condition, without frequent weight fluctuations. Moreover, the patient must be stable psychologically and not have medical condition like diabetes, high blood pressure or problems in heart, circulation and lungs. After serious discussions with the doctor, decide on how much fat must be removed and what techniques are to be adopted.

Different Techniques For Thigh Liposuction
In techniques like super wet and tumescent, saline solutions in combination with adrenaline and local anesthetic are injected in the target area for rupturing the fat deposits. The only difference is that for tumescent technique, liquid solution injected is in larger quantity. The purpose of excess fluid is to reduce the trauma of surrounding tissues to their minimum and adrenaline is to reduce bleeding during the thigh liposuction procedure. However, ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL) melts fat using the sound waves. The procedure is done after injecting the fluids. This technique causes minimum blood loss, bruising and trauma.

Thigh Liposuction Procedure
The liposuction surgeon decides which method must be utilized for doing thigh liposuction. General or local anesthesia or else a sedative to relax are given. The type of anesthetic to be used for the procedure must be fixed earlier on the doctor’s advice. Intravenous line (IV) is usually inserted in the vein in the patient’s arm, so that the level of fluid will be maintained in constant balance. The liposuction surgeon creates a little incision in the patient’s skin, near or inside the crease in the buttock or above the patient’s knee or closer to the waist or else on an older scar. Cannula, a thin tube is inserted in the fatty target area. After the fat deposits have been broken down, the thighs will be sculpted to the best proportions by suctioning out fat with a vacuum. The surrounding skin, muscles, blood vessels and nerves must all be left undamaged.

If only a small portion of fat has been withdrawn to shape the silhouette of leg to accentuate the feminine curve, it can be done as an outpatient. To rectify cellulite effects and skin wrinkling, thigh liposuction need to be done in combination with thigh lift. Compression garments are required for the contraction of skin after the withdrawal of fat. It is possible to resume life in a short time, while recovery will be complete in some weeks.
