While taking care of all the needs of her family, a woman often forgets to take care of her own health. And because of this reason she sometimes faces serious health issues. A woman is the back bone for the house and it is very important for her to stay fit and for staying fit, it is very important that she gets herself medically checked periodically. Following are some of the medical conditions which women should be extra cautious of:

1. BREAST CANCER
Any women who are over 20 years of age should be careful about the breast cancer condition. A self breast examination should be done at least once in a month. Any cyst felt, change in the color of the breast or any discharge from the nipples of the breast should be immediately consulted with the doctor. If you have a history of breast cancer in the family, then after the age of 35 years, do get yourself checked from the cancer specialist every year.

2. OVARY RELATED ISSUES
For every married woman, it is very important to get a Pap smear test and pelvic ultrasound at least once in a year. This will indicate any problems in the ovary if any. If your menstruation cycle is irregular, or there is more of bleeding then consults the gynecologists without any delay.

3. ANEMIA
In India, most of the women are suffering from anemia which implies lack of blood in the body. Anemia makes the body feel weak most of the times. It is very important to get the hemoglobin checked regularly. Women should take care of their eating habits. Their diet should include iron which is found in spinach, carrots, apple, dates and jiggery etc and during pregnancy extra care should be taken for the diet as hemoglobin levels drop during pregnancy.

4. HYPERTENSION
With growing age, women often complain of high blood pressure and it occurs specially near menopause. If you are over 40 years of age and you come under the overweight category, you are likely to suffer with high blood pressure. It is very important to get your blood pressure checked regularly and take care of your diet. Avoid fried food and too much of salty food.

5. HIGH CHOLESTROL
Increase of cholesterol in the blood is very unhealthy for the body and thus it becomes important to get your cholesterol level checked regularly. If this problem existed with your parents, then your chances are high too and it is important to take care of yourself after the age of 40. Exercise regularly and avoid oily food and dry fruits.

6. THYROID
Imbalance in hormone t3, t4 leads to thyroid related problems and it becomes very crucial for the women. If during pregnancy, one has the thyroid problem it can also lead to miscarriage. Thyroid problem also affects the heart rate and it also affects the body weight. Either the body weight keeps on increasing at the rapid rate or it goes on decreasing.

If you want to take care of yourself then you must get yourself checked up regularly. Stay healthy and stay happy.
